Shocking at least one high school English teacher, for years, Buz shared his financial wisdom through a weekly column in The Walton Sun and worked as a freelance columnist with the Motley Fool.
Buz Livingston, CFP®, is a University of Georgia graduate (BS,1978). He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2003, a testament to his expertise. Buz also holds a Certificate in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning and is a Registered Investment Advisor in both Florida and Georgia.
He believes in community service. Over the last twenty-five years, he has walked beaches for South Walton Turtle Watch and served as President and Family Selection Chair for Habitat for Humanity, Walton County. In addition, he has served on the South Walton Community Council Board of Directors and the South Walton Fire District’s Pension Board.
He currently does trail maintenance on the Florida Trail and volunteers at Grayton Beach State Park.
For years, he pondered how many kayaks a man should own. Now he knows…enough for his grandchildren. He agitates for well-maintained bicycle paths around South Walton and supports the community’s magical music scene.
